Please join us for a STAR PARTY on the evening of Wednesday, November 13th. We will have telescopes set up in our backyard and ready for viewing from 6:00-7:30. La Fleur home at dock 120, 10022 W. Bolivar Drive. 

What is a STAR PARTY? ......We belong to the West Valley Astronomy Club and meet several times per month for educational programs and star gazing. Many of our members have telescopes and are very knowledgeable about the night sky. We will have a couple scopes here that evening. Please note that Dave & I are astronomy newbies compared to many of the members, so they are better to answer most questions! The viewing is contingent upon a clear sky and clear weather, so we hope mother nature cooperates that evening.

Other details -

Please feel free to come in our front door and walk to back via inside as it will be dark. If you walk over in grass, you may want to bring a flashlight......your safety is number 1!

Since it will be cool (cold) at that point we anticipate that people may come and go during that time period. You are welcome to BYOB and stay awhile, then please bring a lawn chair or come on in the house and stay warm!

We will have a few light snacks and if I can find a large coffee pot we will have hot water for cocoa. Please let me know if you have one that I can borrow.

Also, we plan on inviting a few of our non-HOA condo friends as they hear us taking about star parties all the time so hopefully everyone is okay with that, please feel free to do the same.
